Using Scary Color ContactsAll costumes are about how convincing you are as whoever (or whatever) you are portraying. In the movies, many times scary color contacts help achieve this. If you were to watch a horror flick, you wouldn't necessarily have a reaction to seeing a furry, snarling werewolf with torn clothing. But if the camera zoomed in on that same creature, with oversized jagged teeth and yellow glowing eyes, that image would jolt you to react. Scary color contacts would definitely complete the look, convincing you for just a moment that what you are seeing could be real. Eye altering has long been used in the theater, in most horror or science fiction films. Scary color contacts in yellow, black, red, green, bloodshot, and even a blueish-white to indicate a character's blindness have all been used. There are wild eyes lenses, and crazy lenses, both of which carry colors and designs that are perfect for super-heroes, villains, super-natural creatures, animals, and everything in between. So the next time you pick that Halloween costume, plan to act in a theatrical production, or want to create a new look, don't forget those eyes! Just remember: as with prescription lenses, these nonprescription ones are obtained through an optometrist or ophthalmologist, after undergoing an eye exam and fitting. Therefore, proper hygiene when handling them is still mandatory to avoid facing vision deterioration or eye infections, allergies, or diseases. Always use clean hands when inserting the lenses, and sanitize them regularly with enzymatic cleaners, saline solutions, and daily cleaners for as long as they are to be worn.
