Following the Directions for Crazy Contact Lenses
When it comes to crazy contact lenses, just like other lenses, you will need to be very careful about how you treat them and follow all doctors' instructions for cleaning, inserting, wearing, and storing. As long as you follow these instructions, your crazy contact lenses will stay in great shape longer and provide you with a crazy look longer. Depending on the lens, you may have different cleaning directions. However, in general, you should clean your lenses with an all purpose solution that helps remove protein build up.
Gently rub your lenses if required. Then, store them in a clean and dry contact case. When you remove your lenses the next day, empty the saline solution and turn the case upside down to dry. You will also need to periodically clean your contact case with soap and water, just make sure the soap is completely rinsed out. When it is time to insert your lenses, wash your hands well with soap and water. The reason for this is if you have bacteria on your hands you will transfer them to your lenses and your eyes by not washing your hands. This will increase your likelihood of developing eye infections, so washing your hands is very important before inserting or removing your contact lenses. Some crazy contact lenses also have suggested wear times of 8 hours. This is different than normal contact lenses that are for daily or extended wear.
If your crazy contact lenses have instructions not to sleep in them or wear them longer than 8 hours, it will be to your benefit to follow them. Also, when you remove your lenses for storage make sure your case has been cleaned and dried, fill the case up with new solution and store your lenses for the next day.
