What is a Contact Remover? If you have trouble inserting and removing your contacts, then you probably are interested in some device that will reduce your struggle and speed up the process of inserting and removing your lenses. Fortunately, a contact remover exists to help you do just that and all you have to do is buy it! However, you are probably wondering what a contact remover actually is and how it will help you. First of all, there are several types of contact removers on the market. So, you need to evaluate what is available and make a decision as to which product will help you the most. One of the more popular types of contact removers is like a pair of tweezers. However, these are oversized and made of plastic with rounded rubber covered tips to grip the lens without gripping your eye. These are great for individuals with long fingernails or people who simply have difficulty removing their lenses. You can insert your lenses this way as well, although most people do not have trouble inserting the lenses, but rather just removing them. Another great contact remover option is a long plastic stick that has a rounded inverted cup that your contact fits into nicely. In this way you place the contact on the inserter and then insert them in your eye. Likewise, especially if you have RGP lenses, you remove them. These contact removers work significantly better with hard lenses, although you may be able to find one that works well enough for your soft lenses.
